We are a rapidly growing SaaS Software Company seeking an accomplished MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) with a primary focus on guaranteeing the optimal performance, availability, and security of MySQL instance clusters. In this role, the DBA will be key in coordinating database upgrades,improving performance, managing backups, and overseeing the provisioning of database instances. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential, including preparing necessary documentation and specifications as needed. red candidate profile

Role & responsibilities

• Database Lifecycle Management: Oversee the management of MySQL Server databases across various stages of their lifecycle, ranging from development environments to mission-critical production systems.
• Database Server Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain database servers and associated processes, including continuous monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure consistently high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Data Modeling: Apply data modeling techniques to guarantee that development and implementation efforts align with integration and performance requirements, ensuring the effective operations.
• Real-time Issue Resolution: Independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution to maintain the stability and functionality of the MySQL Server systems.
• Process Refinement and Automation: Continuously refine and automate routine processes to streamline operations. Track and document changes systematically to maintain an up-to-date record of system modifications.
• Query Tuning and Schema Refinement Support: Collaborate with developers to assist in optimizing complex queries and refining database schemas for improved performance and efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3 years of DBA experience is a requirement.
• Certification as a MySQL Server DBA is mandatory.
• Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in various areas such as database performance tuning, database security, database management, data maintenance, and familiarity with information security policies is essential.
